This is a documentary that stands alone, it is presented by New Zealand journalist David Farrier. What starts as a curious filler piece about ‘competitive tickling’ rapidly becomes bizarre as David starts to receive hateful emails and legal threats if he pursues any more information. The film then starts to become really uncomfortable as David uncovers stories of blackmail and abuse as he doggedly tracks his story.
This is a story of investigative journalism at it’s best as rather than being put off David redoubled his efforts to find out what, or more importantly who is behind this. It is important to understand this is not a film about competitive tickling, instead this is a rabbit hole of a film about ‘power, control and harassment’. Highly recommended
